BELMAS offer a number of opportunities to become involved with research and make connections with others interested in educational leadership research.

Links to the British Educational Research Association (BERA). BELMAS has strong connections with the BERA special interest group (SIG) Leading and Managing Schools and Colleges. The BELMAS research co-ordinator is also the convenor of the Leading and Managing Schools and Colleges SIG and many BELMAS members are also members of the SIG.
Links to the Standing Conference for Research in Educational Leadership and Management (SCRELM).
A series of Research Discussions is being planned to which interested BELMAS members will be invited to discuss topics of interest to the academic community and with the intention of forming research networks through which research proposals and creative partnerships may develop.

In an effort to support a variety of research work relevant to the work of members, BELMAS supports a number of enterprises.

BELMAS offers opportunities for gaining funding support for projects that involve collaborations and dissemination between different sectors within Education.
At the annual conference, BELMAS awards a Thesis prize each year for the best doctoral thesis from those nominated by supervisors.
