| Introduction |
|
One of the aims of the British Educational Leadership Management and Administration Society
(BELMAS) is to promote learning and development in educational leadership, management and
administration. BELMAS Development Grants are a way supporting learning and development
activities organised by BELMAS members. They are intended to support ventures that generate
dynamism and creativity in the educational leadership and management field and promote
learning, development and improvement.

| The kinds of activities the Society wishes to support |
|
Examples of the kinds of activities that the Society would be interested in
supporting include:
|

an innovative whole-school leadership development programme involving educational leadership
professionals from different sectors
an inter-institutional collaboration involving institutions from different sectors of the
educational leadership and management community to develop understandings in educational
leadership and management
a small-scale, innovative research and development project that involved researchers
from higher education and school leaders
an inter-institutional collaboration involving institutions from different sectors of the
educational leadership and management community to develop understandings in educational
leadership and management
an educational leadership development workshop involving participants from
different settings that is also part funded by another organisation.

Applications will normally involve participants from the compulsory and non-compulsory
sectors of the educational leadership, management and administration community.
